Oral Cancer Examination
The examination is a quick and painless procedure. It only takes a few minutes. The dentist will inspect your face, lips, neck and mouth for signs of cancer such as lumps. He or she will then inspect the interiors (inside the lips and mouth) for red marks or white patches.
Tongues are inspected too for discoloration or swelling. The roof of your mouth as well as the back of the throat are also checked.
